About

Wavefont is a variable display font featuring Weight, Round, and Vertical Alignment axes, ideal for rendering data such as waveforms, spectrums, diagrams, and bars. It supports a wide range of weights and uses characters mapped to bar heights for detailed visual representation. The font includes Latin subsets and offers fine control over spacing using CSS letter-spacing with ch units.

Overview

Wavefont is a variable font family designed specifically for data visualization, including waveforms and bar diagrams. It includes three variable axes—Weight, Roundness, and Vertical Alignment—allowing precise customization of the font's appearance. Characters correspond to bar heights, enabling detailed graphical representations with steps from 1 to 10 depending on the character range. The font supports Latin characters and offers a broad weight range from 100 to 900. Adjusting letter-spacing in CSS with ch units aligns bars perfectly for clear data display.
