Source Serif 4 is a serif typeface in the transitional style, designed to complement the Source Sans 3 family. Its design is loosely based on Pierre Simon Fournier's work, incorporating characteristic details like the bottom serif on the 'b' and the middle serif on the 'w'. The typeface balances historical roots with modern simplification for readability in digital contexts. It offers a broad weight range from 200 to 900 and supports Latin, Cyrillic, Greek, and Vietnamese scripts, making it well-suited for diverse typographic needs.
