Overview

Signika is a humanist sans-serif typeface developed to provide clarity and legibility in wayfinding, signage, and other informational media. It features a low contrast and tall x-height, which improve readability both at small sizes and from afar. The font supports a wide range of Western European languages, including Polish and Czech, and offers tabular figures for consistent numeric alignment. The addition of a GRAD axis in 2023 addresses optical challenges in negative text settings, enhancing its versatility. Its design lineage includes influences from Ronnia, Meta, and Tahoma, emphasizing functional clarity in diverse environments.
