Originally developed by MOTOYA and released for Android, it is based on a mid-20th century design and emphasizes beauty and legibility. The family includes only a regular weight and style.

Kosugi Maru is a Gothic Rounded design characterized by low stroke contrast and monospaced metrics with rounded terminals. It draws inspiration from the form of Japanese cedar trees, aiming to balance aesthetic appeal with readability. Initially released as "MotoyaLMaru W3 mono," it is now available under the Kosugi Maru name. A regular gothic counterpart exists under the Kosugi family.
