About

Archivo Narrow is a condensed sans serif typeface family designed to perform well across print and online platforms. It supports over 200 languages and offers a range of weights from 400 to 700, making it suitable for headlines, editorial layouts, and transit systems. Its narrow letterforms allow efficient use of horizontal space without sacrificing presence.

Overview

Archivo Narrow was created by Omnibus-Type with a focus on technical and aesthetic qualities that ensure readability and impact in various media. The family includes normal, narrow, and black styles and was derived from the Chivo typeface. It was converted into a variable font family in 2020, enhancing its flexibility for diverse typographic needs. Its design is reminiscent of late nineteenth-century American grotesque typefaces, optimized for highlights and headlines.
